Renter's Law question?

If it is Not a rooming house, and your friend has rented a regular apartment and pays her rent monthly instead of weekly, she has rights, and the language of her landlord shows that he is either ignorant, or he is a douche bag and someone needs to take a baseball bat to him a few times. This guy is going to make problems for her until she DOES move out, you can bet on it! Tell your friend to call the Department of Housing and get a booklet that's entitled Your rental Rights, one copy for her & one for him, and then tell the person on the other end about her situation and the landlord's threats. In the mean time if I were her and caught him showing the apt. or in there for ANY REASON, go to a place where there are other people around for safety to place a call to the cops and report it as a break and entry; then I'd take out a restraining order, which might cost her. In situations like this what you HAVE to do IS going to be a pain in the *ss but it still needs to be done; and if she has deposit money coming to her I'd get some witnesses and pictures of the ENTIRE apt. before I'm packed up and moved out, and after, to show that NO DAMAGE has occured, so he can't withhold money from her. And leave a duplicate set of pictures and a duplicate copy of the restraining order with a friend, cause he'll try to take it and throw it out; trust me.
