How likely is it that a roof will FAIL inspection?

We just bought a house. The roof was repaired about 8 years ago, but last fully replaced in 1986. We expect that it will need completely replaced in the next 5 years, but cant really afford to replace it before we close on the house next month. Will an inspector most likely just say "The roof is at the end of its life" or will they actually refuse us to move in? Not sure how it works. The roof didnt have any missing shingles or anything, but I know that at most it probably has 4 years of :life: left.
